Ingham County has two main Hospitals. Ingham Regional Medical Center and Sparrow Health Systems both serve the County by each Hospital providing its patients with two facilities. All four Facilities are located in Lasing Michigan.

Ingham Regional Medical Center was founded in 1913 and concentrated on helping Ingham Mothers to give birth in its earliest years. Today, they deliver more than 1,900 newborns annually in one-room, labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum (LDRP) suites. The first open heart surgery was handled by Dr. Seong Chi and his team in 1965. Ingham, through its McLaren affiliation, is part of the Great Lakes Cancer Institute (GLCI). This allows them to take greater advantage of combined clinical skills and research trials to offer patients a wide array of treatments used in nationally renowned cancer treatment centers. Further, Ingham enjoys a special affiliation in radiation oncology with the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.

Their precision, computer-driven technology directs cancer-destroying x-ray beams to the tumor site, minimizing injury to healthy surrounding tissues. Ingham Regional Medical Center is among the top 5% of all hospitals for overall clinical performance and was awarded recognition over two consecutive years for service excellence under the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Hospital ProgramSM.
